The Tauber features two balanced microphone inputs that are summed to a balanced mono signal through a resistor matrix, which is output at the XLR connector. It sounds simple, and it is! You should use either two dynamic microphones or two condenser microphones. Ideally, they should be identical or similar microphones to avoid unwanted level differences. Phantom power is passed through to both inputs. Due to its passive circuitry, the Palmer Tauber operates without coloration and does not require a power supply.
