Palmer Audio LI 02 Line Isolation

Two-channel isolation transformer (line isolator) with Neutrik combo jack input (XLR and jack) and XLR output. The PLI02 features a ground lift switch, making it especially suitable for preventing ground loops. It allows for conversion from unbalanced to balanced signals and is a 600 Ohm version capable of handling levels up to +20dBu.

Isolating transformers and line isolating boxes are used between mains powered equipment to prevent hum loops. They can also convert unbalanced lines to balanced. The PLI-02 is a two-channel line isolating box designed for professional stage and studio use. The input jack is a Neutrik CombiJack that accepts male XLR plugs as well as jack plugs. The output side features an XLR/m jack. Thanks to the CombiJack input, balanced or unbalanced operation is easily achievable, making the PLI-02 excellent for balancing unbalanced mixer outputs (jack in, XLR out). It can also be used for transformer balancing of existing electronic inputs or outputs.
