The cables are made from copper-coated aluminum, which reduces the resistance of the cable and allows for a constant and effective transfer of charge.

The jump starter cable has a length of 5 meters with a cross-sectional area of 50 mm². Thanks to its length and cross-sectional area, it is capable of starting vehicles with gasoline and diesel engines of up to 9.5 liters displacement, as it can achieve a peak current of up to 1200 A, while providing a continuous current of 600 A. It is suitable for voltages of 12 V and 24 V.

To prevent high wear and tear, the Osram Battery Start Starter Cable 1200A is coated with flexible yet durable PVC. The insulated handles and clamps provide additional safety and durability. The different colors of the cables and the handles at the clamps reduce the risk of confusion between the positive and negative terminals, thereby minimizing the danger of incorrect connections to the battery.
