Product details
No peak too high, no path too far: The Peak 42 S from Ortovox is the perfect high-altitude backpack for demanding climbers with a shorter back length. It impresses with its robust design, versatility, and high carrying comfort. Wide, padded shoulder and hip straps, along with the full-contact back reinforced with metal stays from the Swisswool 3D Back System, ensure optimal load distribution. The Swisswool inserts on the back, shoulder, and hip straps reliably regulate the climate by absorbing moisture and drying quickly. The Peak 42 S features a separate safety compartment, numerous attachment options for rope, ice axe, helmet, skis, snowboard, and poles, as well as a side pocket for crampons. The main materials are made from 100% and 50% recycled polyamide, making it particularly durable and sustainable. A reliable companion for any high-altitude or ski tour – the Peak 42 S brings freedom and functionality to the mountains. More natural materials, more comfort – the advantages of a wool back system. Moisture-regulating: Long high-altitude days demand adaptability. Accordingly, our back system must function flexibly. The moisture-regulating property of wool ensures a pleasant wearing experience – whether in the early morning at -5°C or during the descent at 25°C. Naturally: The high alpine terrain of the Aletsch Glacier serves as inspiration for many Ortovox products and is the source of the Swiss wool, which is used in the back systems of the high-altitude backpacks for its functional advantages. Technically: The innovative material structure made of wool fleece with 80% Swiss wool, ergonomic foam inserts, and a recycled, 3D embossed outer fabric makes it possible: a back system that impresses with an outstanding balance of carrying comfort and lightness.
