There are many things to like about the iO Series 10, Oral-B's flagship model. However, the ambitious sales price raises expectations. As a result, we would have expected more from the premium electric toothbrush in certain areas and are somewhat disappointed overall.
Thanks to its great functions, smartphone app and overall good cleaning performance, the Braun Oral-B i010 wins the test. However, it is also by far the most expensive model tested. The associated replacement brush heads are also comparatively expensive. If you prefer to start at a lower price, the price-performance winner from Cumdente is a good choice...
With interactive charging station. The high-priced round-head brush cleans the teeth well with oscillating-rotating movements. It has an interactive charging station that connects to the brush and shows where, how long and with how much pressure you are brushing. This should help to improve individual brushing behaviour...
After the Oral B parent company Procter&Gamble tried to convince with new electric toothbrushes in recent years mainly through more or less successful app integrations, the company has taken a big leap with the Oral B iO 10 and brought a brush with a completely revised drive to the market. Our test model also comes with a smart charging station and is quite convincing.
The test winner achieves a very good cleaning effect with its round brush heads. Only the thick shaft of the attachment brush takes some getting used to and sometimes makes the toothpaste splash. The charging station with the time display is very practical, although wobbly.
