How we describe the MDI-4000 series
This is the smallest engine ever made by Opticon, but don’t let its size fool you. With this engine integrated into your product, it can handle scanning smoothly, providing the user with a pleasant experience. This engine features a powerful 800MHz processor with an integrated high-performance decoder, allowing it to decode 1D and 2D barcodes and OCR-B font faster than ever. This engine is equipped with a high-quality CMOS camera capable of scanning a maximum of 100 frames per second. Whether scanning from paper, LCD, mobile phones, computers, or PDAs, the MDI-4000 can read it perfectly. It performs very well even on poorly printed or damaged barcodes. The green and white LED provides visual feedback to the user during scanning.

For testing and evaluating this scan engine, we offer a development board, the MEK-3100. This separately sold development kit enables you to evaluate the scan engine without the need to develop any electronics or cables.
