The mesh seen in many cases in front of the three pre-installed fan mounting spots would undermine the idea of a particularly quiet computer case. So how do the designers manage to let the fans "breathe"? Quite simply, by integrating a nearly continuous black mesh strip into the outer edges of the matte black, metal-trimmed plastic front. This allows air to be drawn in without much sound escaping.
The same principle is applied at the top, where optional fans are designed to exhaust air as standard. Like at the front, there are also three 120mm or two 140mm slots here, which can accommodate radiators instead of fans, up to 280mm dual or even 360mm triple heat exchangers. For a compact case, this is an impressively good preparation for water cooling! Those who prefer to stick with fans will also appreciate the large 140mm model installed at the rear.
Additionally, the H440 V2 features a PWM fan hub that can connect up to eight 3-pin fans. This means that all the fans installed in the case can be controlled via the motherboard through the fan hub. In addition to the fan hub, the case includes a pre-installed LED controller to manage the lighting on the seven PCI slots and the branding.
