The Nux Tape Echo is inspired by the legendary RE-201 and offers seven tape head combinations that provide everything from short slap echoes to long echo repeats with a delay time of up to 1600 ms. A 2-band equalizer with bass and treble is available for sound shaping. The free editor software can be used with the Nux Tape Echo via the USB port, allowing for even more programmable parameters. Parameters such as saturation, WOW and flutter, as well as the kill dry function, can be controlled via the select knob.

Through saturation and WOW and flutter, the typical, popular tape echo sound is authentically recreated. Tempo input can be done via tap tempo or through the time knob, indicated in BPM or milliseconds. A 40-second looper and a reverb effect are included, which complement the tape echo effectively. The operating mode, which can be switched between looper and echo, is displayed on an OLED screen.

The Nux Tape Echo offers stereo output options as well as the ability to connect an expression pedal (not included) that can control the repeat or level parameters. The device can be controlled via MIDI through the 3.5 mm MIDI TRS jacks. A power adapter is required for operation (not included).
