Nitto PVC228 is a highly flame-retardant electrical insulating tape. It consists of a pure PVC backing coated with a rubber-based pressure-sensitive adhesive. The tape is approved for electrical applications and classified according to IEC60454-3-1-10/F-PVCp/105. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Nitto PVC228 is an electrical insulating tape designed for professional use, offering excellent conformability. The tape is used for the protection and securing of wiring in electrical devices. It is widely used in the automotive industry, such as in wiring harnesses or under the hood. In the telecommunications sector, the tape is used for the bonding and termination of wires and cables, color coding, wiring harnesses, cable repairs, and general applications.
