This filter absorbs ultraviolet light and reduces the blue cast of daylight. In addition to minimising unwanted blue tones, no additional colours or contrasts are added and no exposure adjustment is required.
The filter absorbs 50% of UV light waves at 395 nanometres and gradually eliminates them before they enter the camera, limiting the light to the visible spectrum. This significantly reduces the bluish colour cast that can occur when taking videos or photos in daylight and achieves precise colour reproduction throughout the image.
Like the rest of the NiSi range, this filter is made of high-quality, precision-annealed optical glass. Its surface is finely ground and polished to ensure sharpness for today's high-resolution cameras.
The proprietary NiSi multi-layer nano-coating helps to reduce unwanted reflections and provides a waterproof and scratch-resistant layer that makes it easy to clean off unwanted fingerprints, dust and water marks.
