It is very well tuned to both zoom lenses and fixed focal lengths, enabling excellent, fine-resolution images even with an open aperture. The optical design is crafted to make optimum use of the imaging performance of the lens and to minimize color errors that could occur in the converter itself. The external lens surfaces are treated with a dirt- and water-repellent fluorite coating, and the tube is sealed against the penetration of water drops for professional requirements.
