One of the first well-sounding distortions ever: harmonically rich and biting thanks to Soft Clipping! It joins the ranks of MXR classics like the Phase 90 and the Dyna Comp, setting a new standard for distortions in terms of tone and quality. The sound ranges from sweet, singing overdrive to hard crunch distortion. The new Distortion III has been developed from the ground up with carefully selected components, delivering a wide range of tones. It is natural and versatile enough to support any playing style. Thanks to its transparency, the original sound of the guitar is preserved. Like all MXR pedals, the Distortion III features a heavy-duty housing as well as switches and jacks suitable for stage use.
