In the listening test, the MTX is convincing even without adjustment. It plays lively bass that doesn't lose quality at either the lower or upper end of the frequency range. The sound is perfectly balanced, with the MTX feeling most at home with rock and pop music. It delivers powerful and clean bass drums and gives the music a pleasant body.
