Everyone is aware of the dangers that LiPo batteries pose, and some have even experienced one catching fire. With the Modster Bat Safe XXL, protection for large batteries and e-bike batteries is ensured. It can accommodate batteries up to 14S for charging and storage. The Modster Bat Safe provides the first real protection for your LiPo batteries. Developed by Tom Mast, a renowned aerospace engineer and passionate model flyer, the idea came to him when his house nearly caught fire due to a LiPo battery incident. The Bat Safe is designed to allow batteries to be charged and safely stored inside. The charging cables are routed through a flame-resistant opening to the outside. In the event of a battery fire, any pressure that builds up inside can escape through the upper ventilation holes, while smoke is filtered to prevent harmful substances from escaping. Inside the box, temperatures can reach up to 800 °C during a fire. However, due to the special insulation of the box, the floor and side walls can heat up to a maximum of 80 °C. The escaping gas can reach a maximum temperature of 150 °C. Maximum battery size: You can safely charge and store up to 6 pieces of 6S 5000mAh batteries in the Bat Safe XXL. E-bike batteries can also be securely stored in the XXL case (total maximum 700 Wh).
