The Bordsteinschwalbe is inspired by the well-known miniature biplane Zaunkönig from Simprop. However, the design has been completely modified and adapted to modern possibilities. The fuselage and wings can be assembled without a building board or any tools. This is made possible by the intelligent interlocking of all components. The BSS can be equipped with either an electric motor or a Cox engine. With a very low takeoff weight starting at 220 g, the BSS is relatively easy to fly despite its small dimensions.
