Product details

Hydra motor capacitors with overpressure cut-off MKP-Si technology series 285. Safety: Capacitors may fail under extreme operating conditions or after reaching their lifespan. Hydra motor capacitors are manufactured with an integrated overpressure cut-off. In the event of destruction, gas formation and temperature rise within the capacitor cause an increase in pressure. This results in a housing extension of up to 9 mm due to the stretching of the fold seam, thereby interrupting the supply line at the predetermined breaking point. The capacitor is safely disconnected from the network. Hydra capacitors are certified by the VDE Testing and Certification Institute and comply with the safety class P2 requirements according to EN 60252. Installation: Hydra motor capacitors can be mounted vertically or horizontally. To ensure the proper triggering of the overpressure cut-off due to the length expansion of the capacitor housing, a minimum distance of approximately 12 mm from the terminal to adjacent components must be observed. Construction: Metallized polypropylene, aluminum housing with/without metal pins, environmentally friendly filling material (plant oil).
