At the top, you could place two flagship routers, the CCR2216, to ensure primary connectivity and routing. Then, a lightning-fast 100-gigabit connection leads to three CRS518 distribution switches. This is where all the magic happens. The CRS518 switches connect all access layer devices to the main network, handle traffic filtering, and enforce network policies. And they do all this with grace and dignity - thanks to the fantastic Marvell Prestera Aldrin2 switch chip. The same chip you've already seen in our flagship CCR2216, which performed wonders with L3 hardware offloading.
