With the Type Cover, you can transform your Microsoft Surface Pro into a fully functional laptop. It adds a fully operational keyboard in Swiss layout, complete with function keys F1 to F12, a trackpad, a right-click button, and media keys. The fully movable mechanical keys provide a familiar and pleasant typing experience, similar to that of a traditional laptop keyboard.

When you close the cover, your tablet's display automatically turns off to save power. Thanks to an integrated fingerprint scanner, you have the option to use Windows Hello. This means you only need your finger to log in, allowing you to say goodbye to cumbersome passwords. All your login credentials are stored in Microsoft Passport, making it easy to authenticate with services like purchasing apps in the Windows Store, Outlook, SharePoint, and much more using your fingerprint.
