Mesa Boogie Switch track

The Switch-Track is an A/B/Y box. It allows for the connection of two separate rigs (combos or heads with cabinets) using a single guitar input. This enables switching between the two rigs (A or B) or even using both simultaneously (Y). This gives guitarists the option to choose between two different or two identical amplifiers – for more channels and sound options – or to combine both for a larger, fuller sound or a specific mixed character. The input is buffered to prevent signal loss due to increased load when both amplifiers are on. Both outputs are transformer-isolated for consistent tone and provide unbalanced or balanced signals for longer distances (around 9 meters) than standard cable runs. The ground of the "B" output is lifted by default to prevent ground loops. Switching (including phase) can be triggered via a footswitch on the device itself – for pedal board applications – or through MIDI Program Change (or Control Change) commands from a MIDI controller. Ideal for larger A/B and Y amplifier setups or in larger touring rack setups.
