The Meinl Sonic Energy Mixed Seed Chimes are played like typical chimes but have a completely different sound character. The instrument consists of a sturdy piece of mahogany wood to which three different types of nut shells (Kenari, Bendo, Pangi) are attached with strings. This combination produces a very relaxing sound reminiscent of flowing water.
