Cleaning robots promise that you will never have to vacuum or mop again. Stiftung Warentest regularly tests what the robots can do on hard floors or carpets, how thoroughly they mop and what they are good at in practice. There are many good models, but the price differences are large: Between 160 and 1400 euros.

Product details
Room-specific cleaning plans: After the initial cleaning, rooms can be named in the app, and individual, time-scheduled cleaning plans can be created for one or more rooms (e.g., kitchen on Monday and Friday at 10 AM). The plans can be flexibly set and changed on the go via the app. Additionally, the cleaning progress can be tracked in real-time mapping and can also be reviewed retrospectively using an app feature.
Automatic carpet detection: As soon as the vacuum robot moves onto a carpet, the suction power is automatically increased. This mode can also be turned off if needed.
Defining no-go zones: View the exact mopping and vacuuming paths and identify where carpets are placed. Set no-go zones and invisible walls to restrict access to problematic areas or protect fragile furniture.
Defining to-go zones: If an accident happens somewhere or crumbs are scattered under the breakfast table, simply direct the vacuum robot to the affected spot with a tap of your finger.
Adjustable water dispensing: The X40 SW always cleans exactly according to your preferences. This also applies to the amount of water used in mopping mode. Through the app, you can easily specify the desired water amount based on the application case and floor type, and enjoy streak-free freshness.
