Hundreds of years after the Battle for the Red Earth of Earth Prime, humans have colonized the blue planet. The "Outers" – people who have been exposed to the unique energy source Femto and now possess special abilities – have grown weary of their mistreatment by humanity on this new and dangerous planet. They have taken control of the Gardens, orbital defense satellites from which they rule over the planet below with military power as the Sovereign Axiom. While humans on the planet's surface struggle for survival in the face of the elements and a race of organic-mechanical creatures known as "Immortals," a resistance organization called "The Reclaimers" has formed to challenge the brutal rule of the Axiom. An Outers soldier who crash-lands in the desert outside the largest human settlement may now hold the key to humanity's final revolution.
