As players explore dark caves and avoid the dangers lurking in the depths, they can enjoy a fresh look with new 3D assets and a realistic cave atmosphere, accompanied by a catchy, memorable soundtrack. Those who prefer a classic experience will also be satisfied: the popular Classic Mode, which was also included in the PS3 version, is available in Spelunker HD Deluxe. Retro fans can enjoy the original Spelunker experience in beautiful nostalgic pixel graphics and 8-bit sound, just like in the early 80s.

A variety of game modes and many different stages offer players numerous challenges on their journey to uncover the mystery that lies in the depths. All modes can be played in single-player mode, but they also support online multiplayer for up to six players and offline multiplayer for up to four players, allowing players to explore the caves together.
