The Magnat MCD 550 is equipped with a high-quality CD drive featuring a Sanyo laser unit. The highly precise Sanyo pickup ensures absolutely reliable operation and consistently stable reading of the medium. Excellent sound characteristics are provided by a high-performance sampling rate converter and a particularly high-quality 24-bit digital-to-analog converter from Wolfson. The analog filter and output stage are also equipped with low-noise operational amplifiers. The entire audio electronics are housed on a single circuit board, resulting in high operational reliability and an excellent signal-to-noise ratio. The 5 mm thick aluminum front panel features a clearly readable alphanumeric display. The included system remote control not only operates the MCD 550 but also the DAB/FM tuner MT 520 and the integrated amplifier MA400.
