Fiber Optic Cable (LWL)
While a conventional signal in a copper cable is susceptible to electrical interference, optical cables operate flawlessly even under the most challenging conditions. Additionally, fiber optic cables do not affect electronic devices. Due to the low attenuation of optical cables, distances of up to 550 meters can be bridged.
Multimode with fiber diameter of 50/125 µm
Certain systems require higher data rates. With conventional multimode fibers, data throughput of up to 10 Gbps can be achieved, but only over a distance of up to 84 meters. The time delay differences present in multimode fibers have been minimized in OM3 fibers through special processes in the core area, allowing transmission distances of up to 300 meters.
LC Connector
The LC connector is a high-performance fiber optic connector for singlemode and multimode applications, featuring an insertion loss of only 0.1 dB and a return loss of 55 dB. The design of the LC connector is based on a single-fiber ceramic ferrule with a diameter of 1.25 mm for a fiber optic cable.
