Standard Lens Adapter Ring 86 mm

The adapter ring is a central component of the LEE filter system. It is screwed directly onto the inner thread of the front lens of your lens. To complete the LEE system, you will also need a matte box with or without a filter holder. This matte box is attached directly to the adapter ring using a snap-on mechanism.

When choosing the right adapter ring, please pay attention to the focal length of your lens. Wide-angle and wide-angle zoom lenses require a wide-angle adapter ring (e.g., 20 mm, 24-70 mm SLR). Standard and standard zoom lenses, as well as telephoto and telephoto zoom lenses, can be used with a standard adapter ring (e.g., 50 mm, 70-200 mm SLR).

Wide-angle adapter rings are screwed onto the front lens just like standard rings. However, they differ in design. The wide-angle adapter rings are constructed to be slightly recessed, so that the matte box does not cause vignetting. When using wide-angle adapter rings, a special wide-angle matte box is highly recommended.
