LaCie leverages the groundbreaking speed of Thunderbolt 3 for the 6big and 12big, extracting the best possible speeds from the hard drives. Hardware RAID controllers and 7,200 RPM drives have been added. The result is stunning speeds of 2,600 MB/s and 2,400 MB/s in RAID 5 for the 12big.

With these speeds, nearly every task in post-production is completed faster. You can import RAW footage from a Blackmagic Cinema Camera into Adobe Premiere Pro in a fraction of the time. You can then edit multiple streams of ProRes 422 (HQ), ProRes 4444 XQ, as well as uncompressed HD videos in 10-bit and 12-bit. For large projects with high-resolution clips, thumbnails and previews appear in no time.

Thanks to double the video bandwidth compared to its predecessor, you can daisy-chain two 4K displays or connect a single 5K display to the LaCie 12big or 6big via Thunderbolt 3.
