The C47 wood clip is probably the lightest and most affordable clip you will ever find on set.

The main function of the clip is to attach gel filters to lights. Wood is a good insulator and does not conduct heat very well, making it perfect for this application, while metal easily transfers heat and plastic could melt. It is also ideal for drying films and prints in the darkroom.
