Korg OD-S Overdrive

The OD-S Overdrive kit based on Nutube technology makes the dream of building your own overdrive pedal come true. The pedal's construction can be modified in various ways without the need for a soldering iron. The OD-S features a powerful analog Nutube triode for a warm and harmonically rich sound. In addition to two separate gain controls for input level and anode load (Tube Gain), there are two different overdrive types with varying bass and treble ranges, as well as a true bypass circuit. For the highest demands, several circuit diagrams are available for free in the download area. This allows for further refinement of the sound through the different arrangement of components.

The Nutube is a revolutionary, purely analog vacuum tube developed by Korg in collaboration with Noritake Itron Corporation. The Nutube tube responds just like a conventional tube due to its structure of anode, grid, and heater wire, even though it is much more compact, reliable, and consumes significantly less energy.
