Korg KDM-3 BK Digital Metronome

The Korg KDM series is known for its powerful volume and clearly audible sound. The KDM-3 model has an attractive look reminiscent of a miniature mechanical metronome, as well as a variety of beat patterns and metronome sounds on board. It's also packed with the practical functions you'd expect from a digital unit, supporting performance in any situation, regardless of genre or instrument.

The KDM-3 offers the sound of an acoustic-mechanical metronome. You can also select alternative sounds to match the performance or instrument, including cowbell, rimshot or voice. All of these sounds deliver a clear tone that is easy to hear and won't drown out even high-volume instruments.

In addition to 0-9 beats per measure with the choice of duplets, triplets, triplets without the middle note, quads and quads without the middle notes, it has variations such as Son Clave and Rumba Clave for a total of 19 built-in beat patterns. The tempo can be freely selected in the range from 30 to 252 beats per minute. From classical to pop, jazz and Latin, this unit covers the needs in a variety of genres.

The start/stop button at the top of the unit flashes in two colours, red and green, giving a clear visual indication of the tempo. You can start practising when the volume is set to zero. The tempo/calibre wheel on the top allows easy access to the desired setting. The content of the setting is visible at a glance on the large display.

The Sound Out mode generates a reference tone via the built-in speaker or via connected headphones so that you can search by ear. It can generate 12 reference tones in the range from C4 to B4. The A4 pitch calibration can also be adjusted over a wide range from 410 Hz to 480 Hz.
