As powered speakers, the R-50PMs don't need to be connected to an AVR or other elaborate set-up to sound great. Just plug them into a wall socket, then into each other, and add more lines (or just stream via Bluetooth). The R-50PMs have a small but mighty cabinet that can produce deep bass up to 55 Hz thanks to the rear bass reflex ports. Thanks to the extra cabinet depth, you'll experience a warmer, more impressive sound without having to connect a subwoofer, but... The R-50PM's copper-spun TCP woofers utilise steeply angled cones for improved rigidity and precision. Flat magnetic covers allow you to show off the classic Klipsch cones or add variety with a sleek black cabinet. The R-50PMs have a line-level RCA output, so you can add a subwoofer to your stereo system to boost the low frequencies even further if you wish. The R-50PMs can be connected via Bluetooth for music streaming, phono (with ground terminal) for turntables, and digital and analogue for everything in between. And because Klipsch engineers have built in a customised amplifier, you get a perfectly tuned sound experience - no audio/video receiver (AVR) required.
