Kioxia Client SSD NVMe/PCIe M.2 2280

The BG5 series from KIOXIA is a product line of compact NVMe SSDs with capacities of up to 1,024 GB, featuring an interface compliant with the PCIe 4.0 and NVMe 1.4 specifications and utilizing KIOXIA's 112-layer "BiCS FLASH 3D TLC" flash memory (with 3 bits per cell). Thanks to higher bandwidth and improved flash management, as well as "Host Memory Buffer" (HMB) technology, the BG5 single-package SSDs deliver the best read performance in their class: achieving up to 3,500 MB/s (sequential read) and up to 500,000 IOPS (random read) with an active power consumption of up to 4.3 W (typical).

The BG5 series is available in capacities of 256, 512, and 1,024 GB and in module form factors M.2 Type 2230 and Type 2280, making it suitable for thin and lightweight system designs (e.g., ultra-thin PCs) as well as for embedded devices and server boot applications in data centers. The BG5 series SSDs are also available as optional SED models ("Self-Encrypting Drive") with support for TCG Opal Version 2.01.
