Upgrade your system with more RAM and achieve a significant performance boost. The operating system and programs can be loaded directly into the main memory with sufficient RAM, making them particularly fast and readily available due to random access and access times in the nanosecond range. With insufficient RAM, the operating system and programs are swapped to the hard drive, which has significantly higher access times in the millisecond range.

DDR4 brings several improvements in terms of speed and performance compared to previous generations. A fourth-generation RAM module has more pins to connect to the motherboard and meet the higher speeds. Each DIMM has a direct line to the CPU controller to avoid delays and bottlenecks in data transfer from the CPU to the RAM. DDR4 also includes innovations that reduce power consumption and increase reliability.
