Although the Raspberry Pi single-board computer is designed for passive operation without additional chip cooling due to its energy-efficient low-end SoC from Broadcom, optional heat sinks are a popular means to slightly reduce the often quite high temperatures and thus protect the components of the small motherboard.

For overclockers looking to maximize performance from the mini-computer with a CPU clock speed of 1,000 MHz and higher, additional heat sinks are particularly recommended to optimize heat dissipation and prevent overheating. This practical aluminum heat sink set includes three silver-colored cooling elements that allow you to extract the full performance from the Raspberry Pi.

Included is a larger heat sink for the SoC (System-on-a-Chip) consisting of the CPU, GPU, and RAM, along with two smaller heat sinks for cooling the voltage regulator and the USB and Ethernet controller chips. All three heat sinks come with a thermally conductive adhesive film, making them easy and convenient to install in just a few minutes.

Note 1: During installation, it must be ensured that all heat sinks only touch their respective chip and do not come into contact with other elements of the Raspberry Pi motherboard!

Note 2: The heat sinks are also compatible with the Raspberry Pi Model B+, Raspberry Pi 3, and Raspberry Pi 2, but only the large and one small heat sink need to be installed in those cases.
