As the smallest floorstander in the R-series, the KEF R500 features a latest-generation Uni-Q driver and two 130mm aluminium cone woofers. With its slim proportions and elegant design, the R500 is ideal
for demanding stereo or surround systems in any environment.

Amazingly fast and clean midrange playback. Surprisingly detailed highs. All acting as a single, perfectly integrated voice to deliver sweet, precise sounds with unparalleled clarity.

The new Uni-Q chassis is a true masterpiece. Unlike conventional speakers, the midrange cones are stiffened magnesium/aluminum constructions that reduce distortion problems. The new Z-flex midrange enclosure smoothes the transition from the tweeter to the front baffle, preventing distortion in the high frequency range.

Large voice coils increase power handling and dynamics, reduce distortion and deliver exceptional voice clarity.

By using vented tweeters, the pressure behind the dome is reduced, which increases the bandwidth of the midrange driver and reduces distortion effects. Even higher sound registers are articulated with flawless precision. KEF's Tangerine Waveguide helps spread higher frequencies over an even wider angle to fill the room with a differentiated, refreshingly natural soundstage.
