The Maui Soft Office Swivel Chair is another model from the popular chair collection by Kartell. In the 1990s, the company revolutionized the seating furniture market with its innovative manufacturing process. For the first time, Kartell used a seat shell for the Maui chair that was cast from a single piece.

The reissue of the beloved designer chairs

In 2013, a reissue of the classic Maui office chair was launched. The Maui Soft Office Swivel Chair features an ergonomically shaped seat shell made of nylon, upholstered in Trevira fabric, as well as fabric-covered armrests. The Soft version is available in eight modern colors.

Vico Magistretti – the designer of the Maui family

The designs for the Maui collection come from the Italian design great Vico Magistretti. Characteristic of his designs are geometric and simple shapes that do not compromise on functionality. Some of his works can now be admired in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
