The compact media receiver KD-X451DBT is not only a versatile media artist and convenient smartphone all-rounder thanks to USB and Bluetooth, but it also shines with a DAB+ receiver that ensures interference-free digital radio sound. The Bluetooth module supports hands-free calling as well as audio streaming with advanced control and search functions, and can also be used to control the Spotify app on your smartphone.

The DAB+ tuner receives the extensive range of digitally broadcast radio programs free from noise, crackling, and level fluctuations even at high speeds—not just in Germany, as DAB programs are now available in many European countries. All available DAB stations can be selected directly from a list displayed on the radio screen. If a sufficiently strong DAB signal is not available, the tuner automatically switches to the appropriate FM frequency without audible interruption. "Seamless Blending," an intelligent data buffer, ensures smooth transitions without annoying level and timing offsets.

The Bluetooth module allows for safe phone calls while driving and can be paired with up to two phones simultaneously. The sound quality of the hands-free system is noticeably improved by using the included external microphone. Additionally, sophisticated sound processing suppresses background noise, further enhancing speech intelligibility. The initial pairing of a smartphone is completely hassle-free thanks to "BT Automatic Pairing" for both iPhone and Android, and is done initially via USB connection. After that, the smartphone and car radio are automatically paired via Bluetooth.
