Playback formats: MP3, WMA, WAV, and FLAC (USB only) with TAG displays. USB input includes iPod control and is AOA 2.0 compatible. CD drive features a 24-bit D/A converter (CD-R/RW and CD-Text). It has a repeat function and random playback, along with a loudness function. The parametric 13-band tone control includes 8 preset EQ settings (7 presets and 1 freely selectable). Sound tuning is available for all sources, including CD, using "K2" technology. An active low-pass filter is included.

The FM/MW/LW high-performance tuner features digital processing, radio data system, Radio Text Plus, and PTY. It has a permanent fixed station memory for 24 stations (18 FM, 6 MW/LW). Direct control for iPod/iPhone is available via USB interface with a 1.5 A charging current. AOA 2.0 allows control of compatible Android smartphones from Android 4.1 via USB connection. There is a front AUX-IN (3.5 mm jack) and USB input with a protective cover.

It includes 2 preamplifier connections (4.0V), mute (TEL), and a connection for car-specific steering wheel remote control via an optional adapter. There is a rear input for a hands-free microphone. The removable control panel features a 12-digit, 12.5 mm high LC display with large segments for better readability and an automatic dimmer.

The Bluetooth module supports audio streaming and extended AVRCP functions. The "EASY PAIRING" function is available for iPhone and Android, allowing 2 phones to be connected simultaneously. JVC Smart Music Control is the remote control app for managing the car radio. It is compatible with iPhone voice control "Siri." Large direct access keys are provided for telephone functions and source switching, along with a knob and music search/return key.
