The single-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat is very robust due to its impact-resistant housing with a high-quality plastic cover and aluminum die-cast base, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions. The measuring system operates on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without issues up to a maximum permissible sensor temperature of 345 °C. The smooth round sensor made of stainless steel has a diameter of 6 mm and a sensor length of approximately 63 mm. The thermostat's remote sensing line is made of copper and can be flexibly installed with a bending radius of 5 mm. The maximum permissible ambient temperature at the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 °C. Using a screwdriver, the desired cut-off temperature can be easily set on an internal scale after removing the housing cover. The temperature monitor features a high switching point accuracy of +/-1.5% in the upper third of the scale. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made via screw terminals directly on the installed microswitch, which can switch a maximum permissible switching power of AC 230 volts / 10 A directly. The thermostat has a switching differential (hysteresis) of approximately 3 to 4% of the scale range and automatically returns to its original state after dropping below the cut-off temperature by this value. The temperature monitor is highly versatile and is used in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation technology, as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and mechanical engineering, oven construction, and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate chambers. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has EAC certification.
