Three expansion slots can be equipped with additional inputs, outputs, and interfaces. The high-contrast, multi-colored LCD display for measurement readings and user guidance consists of a five-digit 7-segment display (value display or parameter setting), an eight-digit 16-segment display with color switching (value display, parameter name, channel name, process/alarm text as a maximum of 24-character scrolling text or pseudo-bar graph), and four switch position indicators for the binary outputs. For operation and configuration of the device, four device buttons and an optional setup PC program are available (for example, configuration of mathematical and logical functions, input of display texts). The linearizations for common sensors are stored, and a custom linearization can be configured with 10 support points or through coefficient input of the polynomial. The devices can be integrated into a data network via an interface (RS422/485 or PROFIBUS-DP). The electrical connection is made at the rear via screw terminals.
