The screw-in mantle resistance thermometer allows for temperature measurement in gaseous as well as liquid media due to the temperature dependence of the electrical resistance of its built-in platinum sensor. The protective tube of the mantle line is made of stainless steel, material 1.4541. The shock-resistant design ensures a long service life.

Due to its properties, the mantle resistance thermometer is frequently used in chemical plants, power plants, pipelines, engine construction, test benches, and at all measurement locations where flexibility and easy replacement are desired. The resistance thermometer according to DIN EN 60751 (Class B) is configured as 1 x Pt100 in a two-wire circuit and is designed for temperatures from -50 to +600 °C.

The connection head in shape J is made of aluminum die-cast, features a cable gland M16 x 1.5, and withstands ambient temperatures between -40 to +100 °C. The protective tube has dimensions of 3.0 x 100 mm. A stainless steel 1.4571 fitting with thread G 1/2 inch serves as the process connection. The flexible probe tube allows for temperature measurements even in hard-to-reach places. The minimum bending radius is 5× outer diameter.
