The single-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat is very robust due to its impact-resistant housing with a high-quality plastic cover and aluminum die-cast base, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions. The measuring system operates on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without issues up to a maximum allowable sensor temperature of 575 °C. The immersion tube is made of high-quality stainless steel (material No. 1.4571) with a diameter of 8 mm. It is secured by a G 1/2 Form A thread according to DIN 3852/2. The maximum allowable ambient temperature at the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 °C. Using a screwdriver, the desired switching temperature can be easily adjusted on an internal scale after removing the housing cover. The temperature monitor features a high switching point accuracy of +/-1.5% in the upper third of the scale. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary energy is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made via screw terminals directly on the installed microswitch, which can switch a maximum allowable switching power of AC 230 volts / 10 A directly. The thermostat has a switching differential (hysteresis) of approximately 4 to 8% of the scale range and automatically switches back to the original state after falling below the switching temperature by this value. The temperature monitor is highly versatile and is used in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation technology, as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and machine construction, oven construction, and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate chambers. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has an EAC certification.
