The single-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat is very robust due to its impact-resistant housing with a high-quality plastic cover and aluminum die-cast base, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions. The measuring system operates on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without issues up to a maximum allowable sensor temperature of 345 °C. The smooth round sensor made of stainless steel has a diameter of 6 mm and a sensor length of approximately 73 mm. The thermostat's capillary tube is made of copper and can be flexibly installed with a bending radius of 5 mm. The maximum allowable ambient temperature at the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 °C. Using a setpoint adjuster, the desired switching temperature can be easily set on a scale. The temperature controller features a high switching point accuracy of +/-1.5% in the upper third of the scale. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made via screw terminals directly on the built-in microswitch, which can switch a maximum allowable switching power of AC 230 volts / 10 A directly. The thermostat has a switching differential (hysteresis) of approximately 3 to 4% of the scale range and automatically returns to its original state after falling below the switching temperature by this value. The temperature controller is very versatile and is used in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation technology, as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and machine construction, oven construction, and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate chambers. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has EAC certification.
