The single-pole mechanical surface-mounted thermostat is very robust due to its impact-resistant housing with a high-quality plastic cover and aluminum die-cast base, making it suitable for use in harsh conditions. The measuring system operates on the principle of liquid expansion and can be used without issues up to a maximum permissible sensor temperature of 175 °C. The immersion tube is made of nickel-plated brass and has a diameter of 8 mm. It is mounted using a G 1/2 thread type A according to DIN 3852/2. The maximum permissible ambient temperature at the housing (protection class IP54) is 80 °C. With the help of a setpoint adjuster, the desired switching-off temperature can be easily set on a scale. The temperature controller is characterized by a high switching point accuracy of +/-1.5% in the upper third of the scale. A significant advantage is that no additional auxiliary power is required for temperature measurement. The electrical connection is made via screw terminals directly at the installed microswitch, which can switch a maximum permissible switching power of AC 230 volts / 10 A directly. The thermostat has a switching differential (hysteresis) of approximately 3 to 4% of the scale range and automatically switches back to its original state after falling below the cutoff temperature by this value. The temperature controller is very versatile and is used in heating, air conditioning, and ventilation technology, as well as in the plastics industry, apparatus and mechanical engineering, oven construction, and for temperature monitoring in laboratories and climate cabinets. The device is approved according to DIN EN 14597 and has an EAC certification.
