The high-quality aluminum housing accommodates up to two 6.4 cm (2.5 inch) SATA or SAS hard drives with a maximum installation height of 9.5 mm. A latching mechanism at the end of the front closure ensures that the handle automatically locks into place securely when pressed down. Additionally, each drive bay is secured with a metal lock to reliably protect your data. Thanks to the hot-swappable backplane, the hard drives can be operated, replaced, or removed while the system is running—without any system shutdown, provided that the host system is also hot-swappable and configured accordingly. The hard drives are inserted wirelessly and automatically slide into the high-quality golden finger connectors when the front cover is closed, making installation quick and easy. The integrated LED indicators provide real-time information about the operational and status conditions of the installed drives. Depending on the application, the housing can be flexibly installed both vertically and horizontally to accommodate different installation situations.
