Jinbei M-3

The Jinbei M-3 aluminum boom tripod is characterized by its versatility, robustness, and high-quality workmanship. This studio tripod, made of durable and resistant aluminum, adapts flexibly to all requirements on set with its large action radius. A special feature of the M-3 tripod is that it offers three tripods in one. It can be used as a lamp tripod, a simple camera tripod, or a boom tripod.

In its function as a lamp tripod, it provides many alternatives for attaching light sources, flash holders, umbrella tilters, or hot shoe adapters for clip-on or system flash units via the reversible 5/8 inch spigot adapter with 3/8 and 1/4 inch external thread. The center column of the tripod is adjustable in height between 140 and 492 centimeters, and the individual sections are locked in place with screw locks. A cable clamp holds hanging cables directly to the tripod, preventing dangerous tripping hazards on set.

The lamp tripod transforms into a boom tripod when you pull the upper section out of the underlying tripod segment and fold it to the side using the boom joint as a boom arm. With the boom stand, you can achieve a wide range of lighting variations without the stand getting in the way. Light can be positioned from the side, diagonally, or directly frontally, from high above or close to the floor. With the upward and downward tiltable boom arm, you can quickly place studio flash, flash head, or continuous light lamp in all positions.

The durable aluminum construction with center braces ensures stability under load and can hold up to four kilograms of weight. To balance the attached load, use the included sandbag, which you fill individually and attach to the end of the boom arm for optimal balance.

With the separately available Jinbei JB11-036A tripod castor set, the M-3 boom stand becomes a rolling tripod that can be conveniently moved to the desired position in the studio or on location.
