The KUPU10, designed by Harri Koskinen, is a battery-operated smoke alarm for home use. It comes with an integrated, non-replaceable lithium metal battery with a service life of up to 10 years, which corresponds to the maximum recommended service life of smoke alarms. The automatic activation during installation and the never-due battery changes guarantee your home maximum security for up to 10 years. In addition to the mounting plate included for easy installation, the automatic self-test function and the test function that can be activated from the entire front are further special features of this lifesaver. KUPU smoke alarms use photoelectric detection methods to distinguish smoke from different fire sources. The photoelectric (optical) detector is triggered when infrared rays in the housing are deflected by smoke particles and reach the sensitive sensor. The integrated self-test function guarantees a trouble-free product life of up to 10 years. If smoke is detected, the device emits a loud and continuous alarm tone to alert residents and neighbours. To avoid false alarms, the smoke detector carries out regular checks in which the air quality is measured. Should a false alarm nevertheless occur, you can temporarily deactivate the smoke alarm for 8 minutes using the practical mute function. If heavy smoke is detected during the muting period, the alarm is reactivated for your safety. When the smoke detector reaches the end of its service life, it will automatically warn you of the low batteries with short beeps for up to one month.
