Jalo Kupu 10
Product details
The Kupu 10, designed by Harri Koskinen, is a battery-operated smoke detector for home use. It comes with an integrated, non-replaceable lithium metal battery that lasts up to 10 years, which corresponds to the maximum recommended lifespan of smoke detectors. The automatic activation upon installation and the absence of battery replacements guarantee your home the highest level of safety for up to 10 years. In addition to the mounting plate included for easy installation, the automatic self-test function and the test function that can be activated across the entire front are further features of this life-saving device. Kupu smoke detectors use photoelectric detection methods to distinguish smoke from various fire sources. The photoelectric (optical) detector is triggered when infrared rays are deflected by smoke particles within the housing and reach the sensitive sensor. The integrated self-test function ensures a hassle-free product lifespan of up to 10 years. When smoke is detected, the device emits a loud and continuous alarm to alert residents and neighbors. To avoid false alarms, the smoke detector conducts regular checks to measure air quality. However, if a false alarm does occur, you can temporarily deactivate the smoke detector using the convenient mute function for 8 minutes. If heavy smoke is detected during the mute period, the alarm will be reactivated for your safety. When the smoke detector reaches the end of its lifespan, it will independently warn you with short beeps for up to one month about the weak batteries.
