Product details
The Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS2 is a 4-string electric bass guitar featuring an asymmetrical body design optimized for balanced weight distribution and comfortable playability. Constructed with a poplar body and a bolt-on maple neck with a scarf joint, this instrument delivers reliable performance with a speed neck profile and a laurel fingerboard with a 305 mm radius, featuring 24 frets for smooth playability. The electronics system combines a J-style bridge pickup with a P-style neck pickup, offering versatile sound options ranging from assertive growl to articulated clarity for various music styles. User-friendly controls include blend, bass boost, and volume with a push/pull function that allows bypassing the active circuit in case of a dead battery. The bass boost control enhances low frequencies while maintaining tonal integrity. With a glossy black finish and matching black hardware, the instrument features a distinctive 2x2 headstock design. This package includes a protective black polyester gig bag with foam core interior, internal storage compartment, and external zippered pocket for secure transport and storage. Additionally, it comes with Fender 7250 bass strings made of nickel-plated steel in a gauge of 0.045-0.105 mm, providing bright, assertive tone with a smooth playing feel. The overall design emphasizes ergonomic comfort, tonal versatility, and durable construction for regular use in various performance settings.
