Intel Gigabit ET: 2 Port Server Adapter
PCIProduct details
The Intel Gigabit ET and EF Multi-Port Server Adapters are the third generation of PCIe GbE network adapters from Intel. Equipped with the Intel 82576 Gigabit Ethernet Controller, these new adapters represent the next evolution of GbE network capabilities for enterprise networks and data centers. These capabilities include support for multi-core processors and optimization for server virtualization.
Features and Benefits:
- Industry-leading, energy-efficient design for next-generation Gigabit performance and multi-core processors.
- Enables higher bandwidth and throughput across standard and low-profile PCI Express slots and servers.
- Provides centralized management of storage area networks at lower costs than competing iSCSI solutions.
- Enhances performance in multiprocessor systems by efficiently distributing network loads across CPU cores when used with Microsoft’s Receive-Side Scaling or Scalable I/O under Linux.
- Allows each port to operate independently of the others.
- Supports operation with two or four ports in almost any PCI Express server slot, except for x1 slots.
- Enables wide-ranging deployment.
- Complies with the European Union Directive 2002/95/EC on the reduction of hazardous substances.
- Offers easy management of individual adapters, advanced adapter features, connection teaming, and configuration of virtual local area networks through point-and-click.
